Eat The Darkness

Got back to Florida earlier this week after spending six days back home in Michigan where Jessica finally met my family and two of my best friends. We’ve been together for about a year-and-a-half, so the visit was well overdue. This is why I haven’t written anything in a while. I don’t think I even turned my computer on once while I was away. Everything went very well, my family didn’t scare her off. Yet.

Overall it was a pretty mellow and pleasant visit. Now, unfortunately, it’s back to reality. The visit went by way to fast. I need another week or so away from my job.

I made several photographs from the trip. But this one, above, is possibly the most unnerving, in a good way I suppose. Jessica and my Mom, alone, talking for a long time, at my brother’s home. I guess it’s better than them not talking! I’m sure whatever stories my Mom might have told were exaggerated, overstated and stretched way beyond the limits of truth. Lies I tell you, lies, lies, lies. Jessica, don’t believe anything she said. I never did what she said I did. OK, maybe I’m exaggerating. Unfortunately my Mom brought old photos to back up her stories. Naked bottoms and cute smiles, and later (the teenage years) long hair, bad clothes, etc… These won’t be posted here ever.
